Always-on
Lumos app Always-on scene with helmet, Firefly lights and Lumos Remote

Always-on

For night rides and busier roads, Always-on keeps your lights steady across your helmet and bike so you stay clearly visible from every angle.

Lumos app Night Ride scene with helmet, Firefly lights and Lumos Remote

Night Ride

When you want a stronger signal on the road, Night Ride switches your setup to a faster flash pattern — helping your whole ride stand out together.

Lumos app Day Ride scene with helmet, Firefly lights and Lumos Remote

Day Ride

For daytime riding, Day Ride uses a slower flash pattern to help save battery while keeping your lights visible and in sync.

Change one. Change them all.

Turn one compatible Lumos device on, and the rest come on with it. Switch scenes from your gear, and your whole lighting setup changes together. When the ride is over, turn one off and they all shut down.

Hazard lights when you need them.

Press and hold the L (left) or R (right) button on your Lumos Remote (USB-C) for two seconds to turn hazard lights on or off across your whole setup—a quick way to signal when you need extra attention. Hazard lights need the USB-C remote; the round Remote Lite doesn’t support them.

Unlock more with Lumos Remote (USB‑C).

Syncing your lights never needs a remote. The square Lumos Remote (USB‑C) lets one remote control your helmet and Firefly lights together, and adds automatic brake lights and hazard lights. Already have a Remote Lite? Scenes and all-on, all-off still work with the latest update.

With your helmet: Nyxel, Ultra, Ultra E-Bike and Sonorus have turn signals built in. Pair the Lumos Remote (USB-C) to switch on automatic brake lights and hazard lights.

With Firefly and Firefly Mini: The Lumos Remote (USB-C) controls them too. One light gives you automatic brake lights; mount a left and right pair to add turn signals and hazard lights.

Everything you need to know about the Lumos app. Can’t find your answer?

Is the Lumos app free?
Yes. The Lumos app is free on the App Store and Google Play.
Do I need an account?
No. You don’t need an account. Just pair your gear with the app and you’re ready to ride.

The ZX light doesn’t work with the app. Nyxel Quin support is expected in mid-December.

When will Nyxel Quin work with the new app?
We’re finishing the update for Nyxel Quin and expect it to be ready in mid-December. Until then, keep using the Quin app with your Nyxel Quin.
How do I connect my gear?
Install the Lumos app and turn on Bluetooth. Then follow the on-screen steps and select your Lumos device from the list to pair it.
What are scenes?
Scenes are ready-to-ride lighting setups. Always-on keeps your lights steady, Night Ride uses a faster flash and Day Ride uses a slower flash to save battery. Pick one and all your connected gear switches together. You can also create your own scenes.
Can I set one light differently from the rest?
Yes. Send one pattern, color and brightness to every device at once, then fine-tune any single light on its own.
Do I need my phone with me while I ride?
No. Once your gear is set up, it keeps working without your phone. You can switch scenes and turn everything on or off straight from your devices or your remote.
Do I need the Lumos Remote (USB-C)?
Not to use the app. Syncing your lights doesn’t need a remote, and with the latest update the Remote Lite still works with scenes and turns your gear on and off together. To control Firefly or Firefly Mini, or to use automatic brake lights and hazard lights, you need the square Lumos Remote (USB-C).
How do I turn the hazard lights on or off?
Press and hold either the L (left) or R (right) button on your Lumos Remote (USB-C) for two seconds. The hazard lights come on across your whole setup; do the same again to turn them off. The round Remote Lite doesn’t support hazard lights.
How do I update my firmware?
The app tells you when an update is available. Keep your device charged and close to your phone, then follow the steps in the app.
